The Riverhead Project, located in Riverhead, New York required an easily updatable website that would appeal to their clientele. The color scheme was provided, from there we created a layout, logo, and a Drupal theme. Upon logging into the website, the manager of the restaurant is able to add new press articles, blog posts and gallery images. They can also view site statistics. By keeping it simple, they have been able to manage the site without any help from an external web editing professional.

The interior of the site is crafted to remove any guess work. After logging in, the manager panel appears in the right side bar and the manager chooses which type of content they are adding or updating. If it is an image, they click "gallery image" and they are presented with a browse button - find the image on the computer and upload it. The system does the rest dynamically, including resizing the image to the desired size, adding it to the gallery and updating the gallery block in the side bar.

One priority of the restaurant owner was that the site be accessible and function thoroughly on all mobile devices. This was accomplished by avoiding flash and using JQUERY for the home page slideshow.

  • Communicated with Opentable to ensure the proper function of their reservation API.
  • Implemented a subscription panel that communicates with existing e-mail blasting software.
